BSH treatment of residues: ecological and sustainable

BSH stands for innovative environment friendly technologies. With BSH’s technologies CO2 emissions can be reduced by minimised input of resources and targeted recycling processes. The technologies are in accordance with the Swiss Environmental regulations (“VVEA Technical regulations waste” and “GSchV 2005 Water protection regulation”). Country specific adaption possible.



Efficient recycling: from residue to resource

The main subject of the BSH technologies is treatment of residues with subsequent scrap recycling. From the fly ash and the scrubber blow down of a thermal waste treatment plant, the heavy metals like Lead, Cadmium, Copper, Mercury and Zinc are reclaimed and brought back to the resource cycle. Out of one ton of waste, 1000 g of pure Zinc is recovered. The sustainable use of resources contained in residues from thermal waste treatment allows future-oriented, sound handling of available resources.



Economic viability through intelligent processes

Up to date process-engineering concepts reduce the use of resources and consumables and thus help to bring down the operating costs. In addition, secondary raw materials reclaimed from residues can be marketed profitably. At the same time the volume of the remaining decontaminated residues is significantly reduced. This makes waste recovery and landfill considerably more cost efficient.

Because of these economic benefits BSH facilities recoup costs quickly and generate added value for their operators within a short time.
